Background: Paul Black (aka Mr B) was born and bred in Melbourne, but has since lived up and down the east coast of Australia, with a 6 year stint living in London. He is currently a qualified Mental Health Social Worker residing in Griffith. However, his past saw him as a professional drummer and percussionist for a number of trios, quartets, big bands and rock and punk bands. He also spent time as a club DJ and a presenter with some well known radio stations. Paul avidly listens to music and makes time to attend concerts and see his favourite bands live.
Music Interests: Paul has found inspiration and enjoyment from artists such as Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, The Police, The Beatles, Kiss and Frankie Knuckles, as well as music from a wide range of genres and decades. "The music makes me feel excited and energised, and feeds my soul". Paul began presenting at 2MIA FM in 2017, co-presenting a segment of the program Fusion City with D-Jazz. But Paul is inspired to have a program of his own in the future with music that will add to the variety of 2MIA FM. "I am excited to be a volunteer at a great community radio station".
Programs: Mr B co-presents the All Roads Lead To Miles segment with D-Jazz on Fusion City every Sunday at 8pm.
