Background: Mary was born in Italy, emigrated with her family when she was four, grew up in Hanwood and attended St Joseph’s Catholic School Hanwood (closed in the late 60s) and Griffith High School. At a young age Mary met and married Corrado Guadagnini (19 and almost 21) in 1968. They moved and lived in Adelaide for seven years in the mid 70s, then moved back to Griffith in the early 80s. She worked as a telephonist on and off for 21 years with Telecom (now Telstra). Mary is a keen gardener, enjoys cooking and cake decorating with many wedding and special occasion cakes added to her repertoire. Mary has four children and twelve grandchildren. With the loss of her husband in 2015, Mary searched for something to keep her active and decided to become a presenter at 2MIA FM in 2019.
Music Interests: Music and dancing is something all the family enjoy, with one daughter being a professional singer. Mary is excited about presenting on radio and hopes to bring a lot of enjoyable music to the listening audience. She is fluent in Italian and hopes to help out in the Italian programs.
Programs: Mary presents her program, Mary G on Fridays, every Friday afternoon between 4pm and 6pm.
