Background: Josef was born in Kew, Victoria, but eventually moved to Yenda with his family at a young age. Growing up in Yenda, Josef took a keen interest in computer gaming, and in such titles as Lost Vikings, Doom, Diablo and Half-Life. In 2010, he began volunteering at 2MIA FM, helping with the technical aspects of radio broadcasting. It is through his work at the station that Josef has gained an impressive skill set in computing and electronics. To further his interests, Josef completed a Tertiary Preparation Certificate at TAFE, which gave him the opportunity to learn the mathematics essential for working with electronics. From maintaining equipment to new installations, Josef has quickly become the technical expert at 2MIA FM and the backbone of its broadcasting capability. In the future, Josef would like to pursue a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering.

Music Interests: Early in high school, Josef became interested in Trance and Techno music, but over the years he has broadened his horizons into Punk, Grunge, Nerdcore, Rock, Hiphop, Dubstep and Game Soundtrack music. "For me, I like music in the background when I'm doing tasks, or for relaxing with a down tempo". Artists such as Massive Attack, Gorillaz, Beck and K.Flay top Josef's list of favourites. "In the music I listen to, I often value the singers voice more than the actual music". In 2016, Josef started producing the New Music program at 2MIA FM in order to share his passion for contemporary music fresh on the scene. In his program, Josef features Australian music from the AMRAP charts, but he is also keen to feature local artists too. "I like to play music that sometimes has a message, especially songs that talk about social, cultural or gender issues".

Programs: Josef presents the New Music Show every Saturday between 5:30pm and 7pm.
